Ms. Parker’s class took advantage of the spring weather the other day! During their math block, they have been learning about 10 more, 10 less, 1 more, and 1 less. Students worked together to build a 120 chart outside, then moved their bodies around to find the numbers 10 more, 10 less, 1 more, and 1 less by moving up, down, and right to left on the chart. 💙🌞😎 #wearejtr #4theT

Students in Ms. Jacobs' 2nd-grade resource class concluded their unit on force and motion by building mini tabletop golf courses. Students demonstrated to their guests how to apply force to push the ball through the course while avoiding obstacles along the way. They used what they learned about different amounts of force to make the ball move and construct these awesome courses! 💙⛳#wearejtr #4theT

Thank you to Judge Benson and the phenomenal staff at the Tift County State Court for welcoming our students to learn about our local judicial system! In the case, Right to Recess, the jury found the teacher guilty and sentenced her to provide more recess for her students! 💙👩⚖️ #wearejtr #4theT

Ms. Parker's class planted their spring Grammar Garden this week 🌸 Students were given a part of speech, then had to write examples of the grammar skill on each petal of their flower. They "planted" nouns, verbs, adjectives, conjunctions, pronouns, proper nouns, and compound words! 💙🌻🌼🌷 #wearejtr #4theT

Through February, Mrs. Lever’s first-grade students learned about and celebrated figures in Black History. As a culminating activity, students selected a person they wanted to learn more about and created a cube that gave information about their person. Students learned about Ruby Bridges, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, and George Crum, to name a few. 💙 #wearejtr #4theT

Out of an abundance of caution, J T Reddick Elementary was placed on a soft lockdown due to a situation that occurred in the neighborhood around the school. System security personnel worked with local law enforcement to determine that there was no threat to the safety and security of the students or staff and the school resumed normal operations. #4theT
