Through February, Mrs. Lever’s first-grade students learned about and celebrated figures in Black History. As a culminating activity, students selected a person they wanted to learn more about and created a cube that gave information about their person. Out of an abundance of caution, J T Reddick Elementary was placed on a soft lockdown due to a situation that occurred in the neighborhood around the school. System security personnel worked with local law enforcement to determine that there was no threat to the safety and security of the students or staff and the school resumed normal operations. #4theT

The conference featured three exciting and interactive workshops, designed to engage and empower youth in future leadership initiatives.
