Mrs. Onyeri’s 1st-grade GATE resource students have been learning all about animal needs, and they put their knowledge into action!
Our young scientists created bird feeders to provide food for local animals. Students were encouraged to keep an eye on their feeders at home and see if they could catch animals enjoying a snack in real time.

The Tifton-Tift County Public Library, in partnership with Tift County Schools, is proud to provide free PINES Library Access for Youth (PLAY) library cards to all students in grades Pre-K through 12.
There is nothing families need to do to participate—students are automatically issued a PLAY library card to support their academic success.

Students in Mrs. Onyeri’s 5th-grade GATE Resource class had fun making their own playdough and creating colorful models of the Earth’s layers. Along the way, they explored new science vocabulary and brought big concepts to life. This hands-on project sparked excitement while strengthening their understanding of constructive and destructive forces, an important 5th-grade standard! #wearejtr #4theT
Second-grade students began their unit on the sun and shadows by tracing their shadows and discussing how those shadows changed over time. What a fun and engaging way to learn! ☀️😎 #wearejtr #4theT
