Sometimes, to get your juices flowing, you need a change of scenery! Mrs. Coley's class spent the afternoon taking in fresh air and writing about a small moment in their life. These babies gave their all to capture that special moment. Way to write, Firsties! 💙 #4theT #WeAreJTR

5th grade students have been digging deep into informational texts and learning how they can contain multiple perspectives and primary or secondary sources. After reading about the integration of schools in the book "Through My Eyes" by Ruby Bridges, students invited para educator, Mr. Ken Ellis, to share his firsthand account and perspective on the integration of his own school system in Palm Beach, Florida. Thank you Mr. Ellis for serving as an interesting and educational primary source of information! 💙 #wearejtr #4theT #fullspeedahead

Mrs. Paulk has great news to share...
Thank you, Homestar Financial! My students and I are so excited to be receiving new learning games and other materials through your grant, to use in our classroom! I teach Kindergarten through 5th grade ESOL students at Charles Spencer Elementary and J. T. Reddick Elementary. For most of my students, English is not their primary language. I enjoy working with my students to not only help them learn and understand academic vocabulary, but also to help them with vocabulary used in day to day life. Your donation is so generous and will touch many lives in the future! 💙 #wearejtr #4theT
